Deslag flux function:
Deslag (slag-forming agent/defoaming agent) is primarily used in the metal smelting process (aluminum, lead, iron, steel) to alter the interfacial tension between slag and molten metal, effectively separating non-metallic inclusions from the metal liquid and causing them to float. Its core function is to dry and loosen the viscous slag, allowing the metal in the slag to return to the molten pool, thereby achieving thorough slag removal, purifying the metal liquid, reducing metal loss, minimizing dust emissions, and improving product quality and production efficiency.
The specific functions of deslag flux are as follows:
Achieve slag/iron or slag/aluminum separation: The slagging agent can reduce the bonding force between the molten metal and the slag, thoroughly agitating and drawing the slag inclusions from the metal to the surface, significantly lowering the metal content in the slag.
Purification of molten metal: effectively removes impurities, gases, and non-metallic inclusions, reduces slag contamination of the metal, thereby improving the quality of the molten metal.
Shorten operation time and reduce losses: The slag cleaning agent can dry and powder the wet, sticky slag, reducing metal carryover in the slag and improving metal utilization.
Protecting the furnace lining and worker safety: Slagging agents can reduce slag adhesion to the furnace lining and, due to their environmentally friendly properties, minimize the generation of dust and corrosive gases during use.
Improve the working environment: It is typically a gray-black powder, easy to use, and reduces the need for manual slag removal.
Application Scenario:
Aluminum alloy melting: Widely used in the smelting and casting of various aluminum and aluminum alloys, it can form lightweight, porous floating slag.
Steel Casting/Iron Casting: Effectively collects and removes slag at high temperatures, preventing the slag from becoming too hard to scrape off.
Lead Alloy Manufacturing: Enhancing the Direct Yield Rate of Products Such as Lead Grids.
When using deslag flux, it is typically necessary to evenly sprinkle the powder on the molten surface at the melting temperature (e.g., 600-740°C for aluminum alloys). After stirring, a dry slag layer in powder form can quickly form
